DEKRA's metallurgy laboratory (DT) in Turku and Naantali NDT operations will relocate to new premises in Naantali

As the operations grow, DEKRA's metallurgy laboratory (DT) in Turku and Naantali NDT operations will relocate to new shared premises in Naantali during the early summer of 2025.

Delivery of test specimens will take place at the Naantali site starting from 1.6.2025.
Our new premises will also house the pressure equipment inspection department and the certification department. This new setup will allow us to serve our clients even better from a single location.

Impact of the relocation on customer operations:

  • Scheduling of assignments and minimizing disruptions: The relocation is planned in such a way that there will be no disruptions or delays in customer deliveries. Urgent assignments may be affected during the moving week. We aim to ensure that no testing or machining equipment is out of service for more than two days. Not all laboratory functions will be changed simultaneously, ensuring minimal disruption to the testing process. The Oulu laboratory will continue to support operations during the transition.
  • Use of two locations: During the transition phase, the testing process will briefly operate at two locations. The preparation of test bars will continue at the old location while testing equipment is being moved and calibrated at the new premises. After calibration and assembly of the testing equipment, we will begin relocating the machining department.
  • Continuity of NDT operations: The relocation of NDT operations will take place after the laboratory's move, in June–July 2025, and will not cause any disruptions to customer assignments.

Testing laboratory (DT):
Week 19 (May 5–9, 2025): Disassembly, transfer, and calibration of testing equipment
Machining department (DT):
Week 22 (May 26–30, 2025): Disassembly, transfer, and assembly of equipment
Office (DT):
Weeks 21–23 (May 19–June 6, 2025): Move
NDT operations:
June–July 2025: Relocation to new premises after the laboratory's move
