DEKRA has been providing safety since its foundation in 1925. This basic human need is met by our more than 48,000 employees in around 60 countries on five continents, with a wide range of expertise, services and passionate commitment.

In 2015 - our 90th anniversary year - we stood on the threshold of a new era in our company's history. We have turned the statutory mission of our founders into strategic objectives for the next ten years. On the road, at work and at home - DEKRA's skilled experts create more safety in all key areas of life. We want to realise our vision "We are a global partner for a safe and sustainable world" by our centenary.

Our Vision 2025 describes our model and contains five elements:

  • Our picture of the future “We live in a safe world” is based on the human need for safety, and represents our wish to be consistent in our dedication to human safety
  • Our Vision “We will be the global partner for a safe, secure and sustainable world” describes our ambition for the future
  • Our Mission “We ensure safety, security and sustainability” describes our role in society
  • Our Corporate Principles are strategic guidelines toward which the company is oriented.
  • Our People Values serve as guidelines for the day-to-day behavior of all DEKRA employees
