Chemical Safety Training

Chemical safety training provides participants with practical, basic knowledge about the safe use, storage, and handling of chemicals in the workplace. The training covers the responsibilities of employers and employees and teaches participants how to respond appropriately in the event of accidents or emergencies.
This training is suitable for all employees and supervisors who use, handle, or store chemicals as part of their work.

Trainer

Susanne Matzon, chemical expert and chemical safety trainer

Susanne promotes chemical safety in Finnish workplaces by sharing practical and up-to-date expertise on the safe management of chemicals and on legal requirements.
Susanne has over 20 years of experience working with chemicals in the forestry and oil industries, and her responsibilities have included chemical registries, chemical approval processes, safety data sheets, regulatory filings, and the assessment of risks associated with chemical agents. Her work has also included ensuring compliance with REACH requirements, monitoring SVHC substances, managing substances classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction, and ASA reporting.
As a trainer, Susanne’s goal is to make complex chemical issues easy to understand and readily applicable to everyday work. The best training programs are created by combining legal requirements with practical experience from the day-to-day operations of the industry.
